2013 Psychology/Biology graduate from the University of Texas-Arlington.  Currently in Clinical Psychology Master’s program at Capella University.  Employed at Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Medical Affairs Support Services Department.  Co-Chair of Professional Development of CHAP Network at Children’s Health.  Future Physician’s Assistant applicant at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

She will be speaking on Emotional Intelligence (EI) and learning how to effectively use it.  Emotional intelligence (EI) or emotional quotient (EQ) is the capability of individuals to recognize their own, and other people’s emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and to manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt environments or achieve one’s goal(s).
